1996 ANS/CCC Symposium, Chicago

You are cordially invited to attend the first American Numismatic Society symposium to be held in the Chicago area. Hosted by the Chicago Coin Club in cooperation with Chicago International Coin Fair, this program consists of ten original papers by outstanding numismatic scholars from the Midwest and the curatorial staff of the American Numismatic Society. All events will take place at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, 301 E. North Water St., Chicago, on March 27, 1996.

The morning session is devoted to ancient coins, and the afternoon session to medieval and modern numismatics - with special emphasis on the United States. Lunch, coffee breaks, and a post-symposium reception are included in the $35 registration fee. An optional dinner will be held in the evening, addressed by Arthur A. Houghton III, President of the American Numismatic Society.

For those who have been unable to travel to New York to attend the ANS's programs, this is an unprecedented opportunity to learn the latest fruits of numismatic research and to discuss problems with these experts in a relaxed, social setting at the reception or dinner. This will not be an annual event, so we urge you not to miss it!
